# Troubleshooting

> Common minting and redemption issues and what to check first.

  ### I'm having trouble minting or redeeming a portfolio token. What should I check first?

  First check whether the portfolio you are trying to mint or redeem is currently available. For portfolio tokens, keep in mind:

  * **Minting and redemption are only available from 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. ET Monday to Friday when US markets are open.** Outside this window, including on US market holidays, minting and redemption are closed — this is expected, not an error. See [Market Hours & Trading Availability](/intelligent-portfolios/market-hours).
  * **A portfolio pauses if any of its constituent assets is paused.** If a single asset in the basket is halted — for example, around an ex-dividend date or a corporate action — minting and redemption are paused for every portfolio holding that asset, even if the rest of the basket is trading normally. The pause lifts when the constituent resumes. Visit app.ondo.finance and navigate to each portfolio token's product page to check its current status.

  ### The portfolio's current weights don't match its base weights. Is something wrong?

  Each portfolio's product page shows both its base weights and its estimated current weights. Current weights naturally drift from base weights between rebalances as market prices move: assets that outperform grow to a larger share of the portfolio, and assets that underperform shrink. The asset breakdown chart on the product page reflects the portfolio's estimated current weights, so some difference from base weights is expected. Each portfolio is designed to rebalance back to its base weights approximately every quarter. See [Rebalancing & Reconstitution](/intelligent-portfolios/rebalancing-reconstitution).
