What are Ondo Intelligent Portfolios?

Ondo Intelligent Portfolios are curated investment portfolios, built on the Ondo Stocks platform. Each portfolio is a professionally constructed basket of tokenized stocks and ETFs, delivered as a single onchain token.Instead of buying, weighting, and rebalancing many individual positions, investors outside the US can hold one token to gain exposure to a diversified investment strategy. Each portfolio’s target asset allocations are set by a model provider — either Ondo or an institutional partner working with Ondo — and implemented and managed onchain by Ondo. Like Ondo tokenized stocks, portfolio tokens carry the on suffix. For example, MAG7Xon is the Ondo Magnificent 7 and Crypto Portfolio.Ondo Intelligent Portfolios provide economic exposure only. Holders of portfolio tokens do not own the underlying stocks or ETFs directly. Ondo Intelligent Portfolio tokens are issued by Ondo Global Markets (BVI) Limited (the Issuer), the same issuer as Ondo tokenized stocks. What are the most important things I should know?

  • Ondo Intelligent Portfolios are not funds or ETFs. You do not own shares in a fund, and the tokens are not exchange-listed. You mint and redeem directly with the Issuer. Some portfolios may include tokenized ETFs among their holdings — that does not make the portfolio itself an ETF. Learn More
  • One token is backed by a full portfolio. Each token is fully backed by a weighted basket of Ondo tokenized stocks and ETFs (together with any cash in transit) — the same instruments available individually on the Ondo Stocks platform. Asset selection and base weights are set by the portfolio’s model provider. Learn More
  • Portfolio asset allocations and weights are set by model providers. For example, BLKHIon is a portfolio strategy developed by BlackRock for Ondo. Ondo implements and manages each portfolio onchain — executing the underlying basket trades, running the rebalancing process back to base weights, and operating minting and redemption. Learn More
  • They are built on the Ondo Stocks platform. Each portfolio constituent is itself an Ondo tokenized stock. They are designed to give you economic exposure to the weighted underlying basket of portfolio assets and investing any dividends back into portfolio assets (net of withholding taxes). The total return of underlying assets flows through to the portfolio token’s price automatically.   • They are designed to give you economic exposure to the portfolio performance, not direct title to the underlying assets. While you can redeem your tokens for stablecoins for the then-value of the underlying assets, you do not receive shareholder voting rights, statutory information rights, or other shareholder rights from the issuers of those securities.   • They rebalance back to base weights approximately every quarter. Between rebalances, current weights may naturally drift from base weights as market prices move. Each portfolio’s product page shows its current holdings, weights, and rebalance schedule. Learn More
  • Minting and redemption generally follow regular US market hours. Portfolio tokens are generally available to mint and redeem from 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) — the window closes 15 minutes before the 4:00 p.m. regular US market close. If any constituent asset in the portfolio is closed for trading, minting and redemption are paused until the full basket is open again. There can be short pauses during corporate actions (like dividends and stock splits), if certain platform risk limits are hit, etc. The tokens can be traded on secondary markets 24/7. Learn More
  • Minting and redemptions are instant. When you buy or sell portfolio tokens, you get your tokens or stablecoins in a single atomic transaction. Learn More
  • You can buy fractional tokens. You do not need to purchase full tokens.
  • They are currently available on Ethereum and BNB Chain. Other chains are coming soon.
  • They are generally available to non-US investors. Subject to certain jurisdictional and other restrictions. Learn More
  • They are transferrable and DeFi compatible. Ondo Intelligent Portfolio tokens are designed to be usable in DeFi protocols that support them. For example, they could be used as collateral for lending or in perps protocols. Learn More
  • To buy or sell them directly from the platform, you must complete the Ondo Stocks know-your-customer (KYC) onboarding process. Learn More
  • They are designed with best-in-class investor protections. Ondo Intelligent Portfolio tokens are issued under the same structure as Ondo tokenized stocks: a bankruptcy-remote legal structure using a special purpose vehicle with independent directors, full asset backing, a first-priority security interest held by a third-party security agent, daily attestations of assets held at regulated US entities, rigorously audited smart contracts, and transparent reporting.
